Antioch Hosts Brunch With the First Lady
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church invites women, church members and community supporters to attend a special Brunch With the First Lady on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
The brunch is part of Antioch’s monthlong celebration honoring the 17th Pastoral Anniversary of Rev. Dr. Kenneth R. Kemp and First Lady Velma W. Kemp. This gathering will provide an opportunity to celebrate First Lady Kemp and recognize the faith, encouragement and service she has contributed alongside her husband throughout their years of ministry.
A pastor’s spouse often serves in ways that are both visible and unseen. Through prayer, hospitality, encouragement and personal sacrifice, a first lady can become an important source of strength for the pastor, congregation and surrounding community. Brunch With the First Lady offers guests an opportunity to fellowship while honoring the dedication required to support a growing and active church ministry.
The event will be held at the Antioch Sports Complex and Community Center, located at 314 Eross Street in San Antonio. Guests can expect a warm atmosphere filled with fellowship, celebration and gratitude.
