A Voice of Faith, Leadership,
and Purpose.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Rev. Dr. Kenneth and Velma Willoughby Kemp, Rev. Jessica Monét Kemp was raised in a Christ-centered home grounded in faith, service, and spiritual excellence. From an early age, she accepted Christ and began cultivating a deep, personal relationship with God one that would shape the trajectory of her life and ministry.

On October 27, 2013, Jessica publicly accepted her call to the preaching ministry at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. She preached her initial sermon on February 15, 2014, and was licensed by her father, Rev. Dr. Kenneth Kemp. Since that pivotal moment, she has boldly proclaimed the Gospel with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
Rev. Kemp is a graduate of the University of Houston and earned her Master of Divinity with a concentration in Theology from George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University. Her ministry leadership spans multiple generations, having faithfully served as Minister of Children and Youth, Minister of Children, Youth, and Young Adults, and now as Assistant Pastor at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. In 2023, she expanded her reach of influence when she was appointed Assistant University Chaplain at Trinity University in San Antonio.
A dynamic preacher, gifted teacher, and devoted servant leader, Rev. Kemp is deeply committed to sharing the love of Christ beyond church walls. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, serves on several boards, and is frequently sought after to preach and teach across various platforms.
At her core, she is a lover of people and a servant of God cherishing her roles as a friend, sister, daughter, aunt, and godmother. She believes her life’s calling is simple yet powerful: to preach the Gospel and sing unto God.
Her life and ministry are anchored in Romans 1:16–17:
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation… for therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
Through faith, purpose, and unwavering devotion, Rev. Jessica Monét Kemp continues to inspire, equip, and lead others toward a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
