Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was built in the mid-20th century as a cornerstone of San Antonio’s Eastside Black community. Designed by architect Norcel Haywood, the distinctive stone A-frame structure reflects modern ecclesiastical design while serving as a long-standing spiritual, cultural, and civic anchor for generations.
